KANSAS CITY – Avila University is a proud host of Pianos on Parade. Thanks to a sponsorship by Robert Hartsook, J.D.,Ed.D., the Goppert Theatre Lobby is home to an Avila University Centennial themed piano.

Pianos on Parade (POP) is a program brought to Kansas City by Keys 4/4 Kids and the Kansas City Music Teachers Association. Keys 4/4 Kids is a local nonprofit organization that sells donated pianos in efforts to fund charitable programs.

Kids and professional artists painted a series of pianos at Union Station May 23-24. The pianos can be found at a variety of planned events, concerts, and host locations, such as the Avila University’s Centennial themed piano in Avila’s Goppert Theatre.

Come to the Goppert Theatre Lobby to see and play Avila’s Centennial themed piano before the parade leaves September 1st.
