Dr. Cheryl Carlin DNP, RN, CNE, is a dedicated nurse educator and emergency nurse with a commitment to advancing nursing education and patient care. She has over a decade of experience teaching in nursing programs, including her current role as Assistant Professor at Avila University. Dr. Carlin’s passions for teaching include nursing leadership and critical care concepts. Dr. Carlin’s experience spans clinical simulation, curriculum development, and online education, supported by her DNP and certifications in nursing education. Recognized for her contributions with awards for teaching excellence and curriculum design, Dr. Carlin is passionate about fostering the next generation of nurses through innovative, evidence-based education.
Education includes: Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Capella University, Masters of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Education and a Post-Master’s Certificate in Nursing Informatics from Walden University, Bachelor of Arts in English Pre-professional Studies from Dana College, and Associates of Applied Science in Nursing from Otero Junior College
