I graduated from Avila University in 2014 with a B.S. in Elementary Education. I graduated with honors and was given an award for Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. After my undergraduate, I was a fifth and sixth-grade teacher in the Diocese of Kansas City- St. Joseph for 6 years. During that time, I received my Elementary Math Specialist Masters’s degree from the University of Central Missouri in 2018. After my time in the Parochial schools, I moved to the Shawnee Mission School District in 2020 where I teach 6th grade. I have been a TEXT mentor for several years for the Avila School of Education. In the Fall of 2021, I began my adjunct career at Avila University where I have been working with the School of Education on their elementary math courses. I am passionate about teaching math at the elementary/middle school level and working with the school of education students to become the best teachers they can be. I also love making learning fun for my students at all levels.
