Pairing communication theory and skills with psychological and business principles, Avila’s bachelor of arts degree in Strategic Communication will give you a dynamic, future-proof set of skills key to any business or organization. Built specifically for working adults, parents, and caregivers, this degree offers the flexibility you need to succeed.

By majoring in communications studies you’ll learn how to effectively and appropriately interact with a wide array of constituencies, with messaging tailored to the needs of unique audiences. Your coursework will cover the theory and practice of communication needed by organizational leadership. Your classes will combine academic work, case studies, and hands-on experience to create messages across media platforms: traditional, digital, internet, social, and emerging media.

4+1 Strategic Communication M.A. Degree Option

Earn your Bachelor’s degree and Master’s together

Interested in earning your Master’s faster? The Avila School of Visual & Communication Arts offers an early admission option to outstanding communication students. This option allows you to earn your bachelor’s and master’s degrees in as few as five years. Students are eligible to apply in their junior year. Once accepted, you can begin taking graduate-level courses in the senior year of your undergraduate degree and complete your Master of Arts in Strategic Communication in one additional year.
