I graduated in 1998 with a BSN from Baker University. I began working as a Registered Nurse in Wichita, Kansas on a medical/surgical unit. With a move to Visalia, California in 2000, I began working in the intensive care unit. Life brought me back to Kansas where I continued my nursing career in Salina, Kansas working in the ICU, ER, recovery room, and cardiac rehab. I also began teaching for a local ADN technical college. Three kids later and a move to Overland Park, Kansas in 2009, I worked in cardiac rehab and taught at Johnson County Community College in the LPN program. My desire to teach full-time lead me to MidAmerica Nazarene University where I received my Masters’s degree in Nursing Education in 2018. I was called to Avila University and continue to be blessed to teach in the BSN program.
