I have been at Avila for more than 25 years. Before coming to Avila, I managed several non-profit organizations and developed human service programs. I’ve also served on several local and regional boards of peace and justice organizations through the years. Through my company, Collaborative Solutions, I conducted conflict resolution workshops, helping people develop skills to obtain more positive outcomes in conflicts, and provided private consulting services on conflict resolution, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. For my first 10 years at Avila, I was a full-time faculty member in the Communication Department, then I moved to Avila Advantage (now called the Institute for Professional Studies) and served as Dean of the School of Professional Studies. I now am retired from administrative duties and spend all my time teaching online.
