Victoria Bestor

Victoria Bestor is a junior at Avila University. She is a BFA Theatre major with a double concentration in Acting and Design, Tech, and Management. For this show she’s Adriana and serves the Props Crew. She’s done multiple shows here including: First Date, Eurydice, Laramie Project, and Etc.

Micah Cheek

Micah Cheek is in his 4th on stage show here at Avila. He is an absolute delight to watch both on-stage and off-stage when he is working in the shop as our Head Carpenter. You will see him on stage as Dromio of Ephesus but be careful not to confuse him confused with Dromio of Syracuse!

Gaby Dawn

Gaby Dawn is a senior this year! Comedy of Errors is her 13th show at Avila, and she has loved every minute of her training and experience. You will see her on stage as Lady Abbess and an ensemble member. She has also been seen as Eurydice in Eurydice, Mrs. White in Clue !, and Gorgibus in The Imaginary Cuckhold, along with many more. She would like to thank Matt for giving her this opportunity and flexibility, and her support system for always being there when she needs it. Thank you for coming, I know you will laugh at this outrageous show!

Abigail Dearing

Abigail Dearing is a Senior at Avila. She is pursuing a B.F.A in Theatre Design, Tech, and Management. Abigail is the Costume Designer for this production. Some of her previous credits include scenic and digital media designer for The Laramie Project, sound designer for Hay Fever, and props designer for Eurydice. Unnecessary Farce is her thirteenth show at Avila, and she is very excited to participate in future shows this season.

Sophie Dech

Sophie Dech is a current freshman at Avila. While Sophie has been involved in Lighting and Sound crew for Comedy of Errors, she also was on Lighting crew for Unnecessary Farce, so far this year. Sophie enjoyed acting in high school and wanted to continue involvement in productions at Avila. Sophie is a current Nursing major and enjoys singing and dancing in her free time.

Gabriella Fast

Gabriella Fast is a senior and she is majoring in Theatre Technology & Management at Avila University, focus being stage management. She has stage managed Sarah Ruhl’s Eurydice last year and assistant stage-managed Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure, and Joe Masteroff’s She Loves Me in 2023 at Avila. She likes to thank Trevor Belt for encouraging her through her journey of stage management.

Eleanor Frances

This is Eleanor Frances’s final undergraduate show at Avila. She is a Technical Theater and Design major with a minor in Women and Gender Studies, marking this as her 13th and final production here. For Comedy of Errors, she serves as the lighting designer. Eleanor’s past credits include lighting design for Eurydice and Unnecessary Farce, stage management for Unnecessary Farce, The Laramie Project, and She Loves Me, assistant stage management for Sylvia, First Date, and Clue, assistant lighting design and run crew for The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, lighting board operator for RENT, Eurydice, and She Loves Me, and props design for Hay Fever. Art and theater have been her passion, and she’s excited for what comes next. Thank you for being part of this journey.

Miriam Gleeson

Miriam Gleeson is a senior at Avila! Her major is Radiologic Science, but her love of theatre keeps her coming back to production involvement. She is the stage manager for this production. She has worked extensively backstage for First Date, Eurydice, The Laramie Project, Hay Fever, She Loves Me!, Measure for Measure, Clue, RENT, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime, and The Imaginary Cuckold in the past. She also played several ensemble parts in The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime and was an ensemble soloist in RENT. She’s very grateful for the opportunity to continue involvement in the technical aspects of this production!

Lauren Grimes

Lauren Grimes, one of our insanely talented Freshman is seen on stage for the second time in this show! You will see her as the Duchess of Ephesus. She has been working hard and commanding the stage since the beginning and she hopes you enjoy this hysterical show!

Kelsey Harms

Kelsey Harms is the Scenic Designer for this Avila Theatre production. She is a senior majoring in Design and Technology. Previous productions she has worked on include: The Imaginary Cuckold (2021), The Curious Incident of The Dog of The Night-Time (2022), RENT (2022), CLUE (2022), Measure for Measure (2023), She Loves Me (2023), Hay Fever (2023),The Laramie Project (2023), Eurydice (2024), and First Date (2024). She would like to thank her peers and friends for being there to help her grow as a future theatre-maker!

Kendall Hobgood

Kendall Hobgood is a Freshman here at Avila University studying performance arts and has no prior theater experience outside of Avila’s theater program. Comedy of Errors is her second show this far, playing the part of The Courtesan. For this show she was also part of Costume crew.

Angel Hernadez

Angel Hernandez is a sophomore Technology, Design, and Stage Management major. She is the Assistant Light Director for this production. She has had a wonderful time working so far, and she is excited for the next play because she gets to try out new roles within the tech world of theater

Nathan Hummell

Nathan Hummell is a Sophomore at Avila, and he plays Antipholus of Ephesus! This is his fifth show at Avila and can’t wait for you to experience this fun show!

Gage Huth

Gage Huth, freshman. Gage is the Messenger/ensemble in Comedy of Errors. It is his second show at Avila, but his first on-stage role. He is also on the paint and props crew. He loves the physical humor of the show as well as working on the set. He wants to thank his friends and family for supporting him as well as the cast and crew for welcoming him to Avila theatre.

Coltyn Ledbetter

Coltyn Ledbetter, a freshman at Avila University, is making his college theatrical debut. In this production, Coltyn plays Dromio of Syracuse. In high school he was very active in theater, performing shows like Taming of the Shrew, Nevermore, and Christmas Carol Gone Wrong, among others. “I’m very excited to be a part of Avila’s theatre program and I would like to thank Matt, John, Sid, and all my peers for making this an amazing and welcoming first show experience!”

Olivia Loren

Olivia Loren is a senior at Avila University. She is the Properties Designer for this production and the understudy for Adriana. Her past Avila credits include Casey (First Date), Amanda Gronich (The Laramie Project), Ilona Ritter (She Loves Me), and Lady Escalus (Measure for Measure). When not on the theatrical stage, she fronts a band called “The Bratts” and gigs around the KC area! Olivia would like to thank Matt and John for the endless opportunities to create, her family for continuously supporting her, and her wonderful partner and fur babies for always being there at the end of the night to make her smile! Eliot Reese

Eliot Reese is a sophomore, and this will be his third time on stage here at Avila. He will be playing the role of Angelo, as well as being part of the painting and wardrobe crews. Previously he has been seen on stage as Clara in Hay Fever, and Nasty Interesting Man/Lord of the Underworld in Eurydice. Eliot would like to thank his guinea pig, Princess Stella.

Tucker Rushing

Tucker Rushing plays Antipholus of Syracuse and is the head electrician of this production. He is a senior here at Avila with a concentration in acting. He’s been onstage in several Avila productions, including Unnecessary Farce, First Date, The Laramie Project, Hay Fever, She Loves Me, Measure for Measure, and more. He is so grateful to work with so many amazing people, his endlessly supportive parents, his Friends, and the number nine. 

Mariah Masterson

Mariah Masterson is a Sophomore. In Comedy of Errors, she’s Luciana and on the paint crew. She wants to thank her grandma, her cat, and her grandma for being there to support her. She’s been in other shows, like Hay Fever and Eurydice.

Shannon Smith-Regnier

Shannon Smith-Regnier is a Kansas City based costume Designer and adjunct professor of theatre at Avila University. She received her MFA in Costume Design from Ohio University as well as her BFA from Wichita State University. She Interned with Martin Pakledinaz on the Broadway revival of “Anything Goes” (2011, NYC). Some KC design credits include: Spinning Tree Theater, Theatre in the Park, Kansas City Regional Theatre, KCAT, Metropolitan Ensemble Theatre, Quality Hill, and the American Heartland Theater. She has also guest designed at Kansas University and Wichita State University. She worked as a stitcher in the costume shop at Glimmerglass Opera for two summers and has also designed and worked in the shop and on wardrobe many summers with Music Theater of Wichita. Matt Schwader Harbor

Matt Schwader Harbor is the Chair of the School of Performing Arts and Director of Performance Studies at Avila University. Along with “Comedy of Errors,” he has directed “Eurydice,” “Hay Fever,” “Measure for Measure,” “The Imaginary Cuckold,” “Twenty20s,” “War of the Worlds,” and “The Diary of Anne Frank,” all for Avila University. A professional actor since 1998, he has appeared on notable stages, including the Goodman and Chicago Shakespeare theatres, Indiana Repertory Theatre, ACT Theatre of Seattle, and many more. His repertoire spans internationally, from the Royal Shakespeare Theatre to performances in Mozambique. Some favorite roles include Hamlet, Henry V, and Raskolnikov in “Crime and Punishment” during his time as a Core Acting Company member with American Players Theatre. Recent professional highlights include playing Jack in The Old Globe Theatre’s “The Importance of Being Earnest,” Lombard in Kansas City Actors Theatre’s “And Then There Were None,” Shakespeare in “Shakespeare in Love” and Antony in “Julius Caesar” at the Heart of America Shakespeare Festival, as well as directing “The Pests” and serving as an artistic board member for Kansas City Actors Theatre. Matt holds an MFA from the University of Delaware and is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA and Actors Equity Association.

Ta’ja Snipes

Ta’ja Snipes is a senior, Design Technology and Management major here at Avila. The Comedy of Errors is her 14th show where she Ta’ja served as the Sound Designer, Assistant Technical Director as well as an Assistant Stage Manager. Ta’ja would like to thank everyone who helped make this show possible! 

Alex Valdez

Alex Valdez is a Junior majoring in Film and minoring in Theater. In Comedy of Errors, he is one of the Assistant Stage Managers as well as on Paint, Light, Sound and Costume crew. He would like to thank the people around him for their continuous love and support. 

Roy Williams

Roy Williams is a Sophomore at Avila University and is continuing to pursue a career in acting and music. This is Roy’s 3rd show of his college career. Roy looks forward to the continuation of growth in the Avila community. Roy has previously starred in” Eurydice” as part of the stone chorus. He has also starred as Casey’s father in “First Date”. Roy is a very anointed and powerful man who God has called to win souls for the Kingdom through acting and singing. Is dedicated about anything that his heart desires to accomplish

Kailey

Kailey is a freshman at Avila this year. She is on the Wardrobe Crew, Paint Crew and House Crew. She has enjoyed getting to know everyone throughout the year so far and hopes that you enjoy the show!

Ujjawal Bhandari

Ujjawal Bhandari is an international student and an executive member of the Student Government Association (SGA) at Avila University. He is pursuing an MS in Business Analytics. Ujjawal values living in the moment and embraces different challenges. He enjoys working for the community and strives to become a better person.
