Find your people
Top-notch academics, engaging research opportunities, expert faculty — these are some of the hallmarks of an Avila education, but there’s so much more to your experience than what takes place in the classroom. Whether it’s catching a play in the Goppert Theatre, exploring the latest exhibit at the Thornhill Gallery, catching a game at The Z, or taking part in one of our 40+ student organizations, Avila Eagles have countless opportunities to get involved and make new friends.
Transfer Students, Working Professionals, Adult Degree Seekers, and Grad Students, You’ll Find Your People Here Too.
Avila University is home to a diverse student population. Each year, around one-third of our undergraduate population are transfer students from other colleges and universities. If you’re a transfer student, you’ll find a home here. Start by getting involved in our Transfer Student Organization (TSO) and orientation specifically for students like you. With nine online undergraduate degree programs uniquely designed for working adults, students who need the ultimate class schedule flexibility will find a community of degree-seeking adults at Avila as well. Plus, our Master’s programs and professional certificate programs bring together a collection of graduate-minded students.
And every student has the same access to the academic resources, cultural opportunities, faculty and facilities access, and student support services, you need to succeed.
Serving the Dear Neighbor
Avila students are creative, driven and passionate about making a difference in the world. In fact, as part of a recent service project, Avila students packed more than 60,000 pounds of supplies for emergency food pantries, supply kitchens, homeless shelters, children’s homes and other nonprofit organizations.
