The M.S. in Cybersecurity Management at Avila
This program is a flexible program incorporating both online courses as well as in-person coursework. This program is also part of our Hybrid programs as well.
The MS in Cybersecurity Management program is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills required to manage and secure information systems in a variety of settings, including corporations, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations.
The program combines technical and managerial coursework, emphasizing the integration of cybersecurity with business strategy, innovation, ethics, leadership, and project management.
We are excited to announce that coming soon, Fall 2024, Avila University will offer an Undergraduate program in Cybersecurity! More information should be available this Spring!
Students will gain hands-on experience in using cutting-edge tools and techniques to secure information systems, while also developing the managerial and leadership skills required to manage cybersecurity teams and projects.
- Analyze cybersecurity risks and threats, and develop strategies and policies to mitigate these risks and protect information systems.
- Apply technical skills and knowledge to secure information systems, including network security, cloud security, cryptography, and digital forensics, and evaluate the effectiveness of these measures.
- Demonstrate the managerial and leadership skills required to manage cybersecurity teams and projects, including communication, decision-making, innovation, and project management.
- Appraise the ethical and legal considerations of cybersecurity, including compliance with industry standards and regulations, and develop strategies to ensure the ethical and legal use of information systems.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and growth in cybersecurity, and develop strategies to foster innovation and lead change in cybersecurity management.
