Avila student Cesar Valderrama is one of 200 students selected for the 2022 Stay the Course Grant. This program is increasingly important due to the pandemic.
“I am very honored to have received this grant and thankful for the continued support from my professors. I am hoping to continue my education in Computer Science. With Avila’s support, I can continue working towards that goal and gain a beneficial career with it in the near future,” said Valderrama.
The grant winners are nominated by professors and selected by a committee. “Cesar is a dedicated student who attends all classes, is eager to learn new topics, and engages with his classmates and me. It is a joy to teach him, and I am certain that receiving this grant will help him complete his degree successfully,” said Assistant Professor Hadas Moshonov-Cohavi, Ph.D.
