Due to the forecast of inclement weather that includes ice, accumulating snow, and hazardous driving conditions, Avila University will close campus Thursday, Feb. 17, for classes and activities that begin before 3 p.m. The hope is that the storm will pass and the roads cleared so that practices, rehearsals, and evening classes can still be held. The University will make another weather call around noon on Thursday and notify the campus if we need to cancel all activities after 3 p.m. as well.
Students — check with professors if your classes will be held remotely.
University offices will be closed with staff working remotely where possible. Staff, please check with supervisors about the expectations and responsibilities of the campus reopening at 3 p.m.
