KANSAS CITY — The International Coaching Federation (ICF) recently announced that Avila University has earned a three-year reaccreditation for its Leadership Coaching Certification program. As part of Avila’s Master of Arts in Organizational Development (MSOD), leadership coaching is available as a Master’s concentration or as a certificate.
“Accreditation by professional organizations like ICF help our students not only gain current and relevant credentials but helps give them an edge when building their careers,” said Andy Jett, Ed.D, dean of Avila’s College of Professional Schools.
ICF is the world’s largest organization leading the global advancement of the coaching profession and fostering coaching’s role as an integral part of a thriving society. Founded in 1995, its 50,000-plus members located in more than 150 countries and territories work toward common goals of enhancing awareness of coaching and upholding the integrity of the profession through lifelong learning and upholding the highest ethical standards.
“Leadership Coaching is a long-standing accredited program at Avila, and one of our program’s differentiators,” said Jett. “The ICF’s standards of professionalism, collaboration, humanity, and equity not only serve our students well, but they also mesh seamlessly with the University’s core values.”
