The Avila University Zeta Chapter of Alpha Epsilon Delta inducted nine new members into the national premedical honor society on April 14. The following students were inducted as part of the ceremony:

- Kenzie Beeler – Greenwood, MO – Senior – Kinesiology
- Alexander Carpenter – Independence, MO – Senior – Biology
- Aaron Eustaquio – Corona, CA – Senior – Professional Health Sciences
- Trang Ngo – Tay Ninh, Viet Nam – Junior – Professional Health Sciences
- Noor Ul Ain – Senior – Professional Health Sciences
- Elisa Nunez – Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic – Sophomore – Professional Health Sciences & Biology
- Marissa Simmons – Rancho Palos Verdes, CA – Postbaccalaureate – Professional Health Sciences
- Claudia McIntire – Junior – Kinesiology
In order to earn entry to the honor society-the lone chapter in western Missouri-students must demonstrate academic excellence by earning an overall and science GPA of 3.2 over at least three semesters. Chapter officers Alexis Delgado (President) and Matthew Roth (Secretary/Treasurer) will graduate this spring and were recognized during the ceremony.
As the 2020 ceremony was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the four students admitted to the society in that class still at the University were also recognized during this year’s ceremony. They are:
