[MARCH 28, 2017] KANSAS CITY – Donnelly students with a 3.0 cumulative grade point average in all college course work can transfer to Avila with the guarantee of being awarded at least $13,000 in institutional scholarship money. Together the two institutions have developed transfer pathways that allow Donnelly students an earlier opportunity to see their college path toward a bachelor’s degree. The agreement also gives Donnelly students access to Avila’s faculty advisors to better ensure a successful transition toward graduation. The agreement commences with the start of the Fall 2017 semester.
“Our institutions share similar values and a strong commitment to enriching Kansas City and the lives of its residents,” said Avila President Ronald Sleptiza, Ph.D, CSJA. “We believe Donnelly students will benefit from the opportunity to continue their educations at Avila.”
“We are very excited about expanding our partnership with Avila University and the potential to help Donnelly students advance their academic goals,” said Monsignor Stuart W. Swetland, President of Donnelly College. “Avila’s substantial financial support, academic partnership, and intentional advising is a welcome extension to the nurturing environment students find success with here at Donnelly.”
