The uniqueness of the Avila degree is that students earn a Master’s degree in Management with an applied emphasis on Fundraising. Thirty-seven hours of coursework include Fundraising Strategy, Direct Response, Major and Planned Giving, Institutional Fundraising and others, with a capstone that culminates with a project to drive change at a nonprofit organization. It is the only accredited online master’s and certificate program focused fully on fundraising.

The Top 50 list was ranked on the following criteria: estimated cost, flexibility, reputation and prestige, student satisfaction, and accreditation. Each criterion was given equal weight in order to gather a well respected and high quality program. Data was gathered from each program’s website, US News and World Report, the Princeton Review, and the National Center for Education Statistics.
