AVILA UNIVERSITY HOSTS “YOSHI AND FRIENDS: CELEBRATING THE LIFE AND LEGACY OF YOSHIRO IKEDA” EXHIBIT AT THORNHILL GALLERY
What: The Thornhill Gallery is hosting an exhibit, “Yoshi and Friends: Celebrating the Life and Legacy of Yoshiro Ikeda,” in conjunction with the National Conference on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA) which will be held in Kansas City March 16-19. Yoshiro Ikeda, who passed away in December, was a distinguished Professor of Ceramics at Kansas State University. The exhibition will feature his work, as well as the work of many of his friends and students.

When: February 29, 2016 – March 19, 2016
A reception will be held on Wednesday, March 16 from 4– 6 pm.
Admission to this exhibit is free and open to the public. Gallery hours are Monday – Thursday from 10 am – 3 pm. Additional gallery hours during the NCECA are March 18, from 10 am – 3 pm, and March 19, from 12 – 3 pm.
