Responsibilities

Provides direct health services including emergency care, crisis intervention, nursing assessment, treatment with non-prescriptive medications and medical supplies, health advice and counseling, immunizations and screenings, health condition monitoring, and verification of absence.

Qualifications

Candidate must be licensed as Registered Professional Nurse in the state of Missouri and have certification in CPR / AED and First Aid. Proficient in use of medical equipment used while providing direct nursing assessments. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. BSN degree preferred. Experience working in a college health center, community health or ambulatory care setting helpful.

Position Available Director of Athletics
Appointment Date

Responsibilities

The director reports to the Vice President for Enrollment and Student Development and is responsible for all matters directly relating to the administration of intercollegiate athletics and campus recreation. Major responsibilities include:
Provide visionary and energetic leadership for the department of athletics and campus recreation and ensure its successful integration within the University. Provide responsible management to all NAIA, Heart of America Conference, Title IX and other compliance risk management issues. Prepare and administer annual operating budget; play an active role in fundraising and developing revenue streams. Develop and maintain collegial relationships with both internal and external constituents.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree and at least four years of experience in athletic administration; strong oral and written communication skills. Candidate must subscribe to the principles and demonstrate personal commitment to rules compliance, academic integrity minority/gender equity, sportsmanship, and ethical conduct.
Preferred Qualifications: Master degree in athletics administration, higher education administration, business administration or a related field; experience as a coach and in athletic administration; experience with athletic fundraising; strong budget and data analysis skills.

Position Available Director of Financial Aid
Appointment Date

Responsibilities The Director of Financial Aid is responsible for day-to-day leadership and performance of the Financial Aid Department; he/she will manage all office personnel and systems to ensure the timely delivery of institutional, federal, state and private financial assistance to eligible Avila students in compliance with government regulations and university policies and procedures.  Under the guidance of the new Director, the Financial Aid Department is expected to continue or exceed it's current level of excellence as evidenced by the university's low Stafford Loan default rate, record of no material audit findings, and student satisfaction rate of 95%.  As the chief financial aid administrator, the Director of Financial Aid reports to the Vice President of Enrollment and Student Development and supervises a staff of four.
Qualifications Applicants must possess a Bachelor's Degree (Master's preferred) and have at least five years of financial aid experience, including a minimum of two years supervisory experience (additional experience may be substituted for the advanced degree).   In addition, the successful applicant will be familiar with the relevant technology (Avila is a Powerfaids user) and data exchanges, have detailed knowledge of Title IV regulations, have experience with leverage analysis and data reporting tools.

Position Available Information Technology Operations Director
Appointment Date

Responsibilities

The Information Technology Operations Director position reports directly to the Vice President for Information Services and is responsible for the overall functionality of the Information Technology Services (ITS) Department. Under administrative direction, is accountable for managing all aspects of Information Technology services operations, processes, and service quality; establishes and manages a best practices project management approach to facilitate the delivery of high quality IT services; designs, develops, and maintains a common operating picture for ITS and its customers; builds a culture of customer service, process orientation, and cost effective management; develops the services and environments in regard to reliability, growth, performance, and productivity.

Qualifications

Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information systems, or related field; supplemented with at least five (5) years of related experience with increasingly complex leadership and management responsibilities in an information technology environment. Preference will be given to candidates who have demonstrated strong skills in IT project management.
