Below you will find the questions most frequently asked by international students regarding their I-20s, student visas, and U.S. employment. Remember that the policies described below are requirements of U.S. immigration and not Avila University. We are here to help you with these policies. You really only need to remember a few simple rules:
1. If you study in the U.S. on a student visa, make sure you are a full-time student
each semester.
2. Make sure that your I-20 is current each semester by checking with a DSO.
3. If you want to work off-campus, make sure you receive permission from
Avila University and U.S. immigration.
