Apply for and be accepted for admission to Avila University.
Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Avila’s school code is: 002449. We encourage you to do this online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. You will need to complete this every year to be qualified for Financial Aid. You are encouraged to complete the FAFSA as soon as possible after Jan. 1st. However, the priority deadline to submit your FAFSA is March 1st.
If selected for verification by the U.S. Department of Education, submit a signed copy of your previous year federal tax return (and that of your parents or spouse if applicable) and an Institutional Verification Sheet (available in the Financial Aid Office).
If you are one of the randomly selected students picked for verification you will receive the message on your Student Aid Report after filing your FAFSA and from the Financial Aid Office. Thirty to forty percent of our student population will be randomly selected for this verification process.
Submit all documents requested with the financial aid award letter (example: copy of federal tax return for previous year).
