The School of Behavioral and Social Sciences faculty of Avila University have agreed on expectations regarding students ultimate skill set upon graduation. Consequently, four EDUCATIONAL OUTCOMES have been identified, each with specific INTENDED LEARNING OBJECTIVES that define these expectations in ways that can be assessed. The following outcomes have been developed for the School of Psychology graduate programs. These outcomes will be addressed specifically in the course syllabi.

Communication
Upon graduation, the Avila School of Behavioral and Social Sciences Master's student will have demonstrated competence in each of the following communication skills:
C-1	Use of appropriate receptive listening skills.
C-2	Use of appropriate expressive verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
C-3	Ability to read with a depth of understanding.
C-4	Ability to develop a clear, well-organized and professional presentation that is audience-appropriate.
C-5	Ability to write in a clear, well-organized manner, using documentation and quantitative tools when necessary.
C-6	Appropriate use of group process skills.
Thinking strategies
Upon graduation, the Avila School of Psychology's Master's student will have developed demonstrable advanced cognitive skills, including:
T-1	Ability to employ a skeptical, evaluative and logical approach in processing information and drawing conclusions.
T-2	Ability to identify a problem, employ creative and strategic problem-solving processes to develop viable solutions, and to make decisions based on appropriate criteria and expected consequences.

Upon graduation, the Avila School of Psychology's Master's student will have developed the following personal and professional skills:
P-1	Ability to analyze and manage one's personal thought processes.
