33rd Annual Avila University Steer Dinner
On March 7, 2009, over 420 guests gave blessings to Avila students. With the generosity of honorary chairs Jeanne '92, '94 and Tom Olofoson and event co-chairs Brenda and Joel Pelofsky and Jim and Ruth Willcox, the night was a success. The 33rd Annual Steer Dinner raised more than $375,000 for student scholarships. Once again, the S.O.L.D. Fund, created in honor of Sr. Olive Louise Dallavis, CSJ, president emerita, raised more than $100,000.

The event was held at the Sheraton Overland Park Hotel with patrons enjoying a wonderful tenderloin and samon dinner. Shane Smith presented a lively auction and Cocomo provided the musical entertainment.
