Renovation of the Orscheln Chapel
[ View the Progress from Start to Finish ]
The Kay Orscheln Chapel is the physical focal point of Avila’s identity and mission. However, in recent years, the chapel had begun to show its age, with pews and carpet installed in 1967 falling into disrepair, and the functionality of the space increasingly limited by its fixed design.
The recently completed renovation featured new carpet and lighting, flexible seating, and more appropriate/reverent display for our chapel art. The project has restored the space as a point of pride for campus and community gatherings.
Thank you to the many donors who helped make this project possible.
