HIGH SCHOOL EDUCATION
A high school teacher completes a major or concentration in the subject area they wish to teach and a minor in (secondary) education. At Avila, a student can prepare to become a teacher in grades 9-12 in many different subjects. Avila's secondary education program is designed to provide depth in the content area as well as skills in effective teaching. Avila’s teacher preparation is highly regarded by area principals and superintendents.
