Campus Projects - Athletic Field
Currently, Avila's athletic fields are not capable of accommodating home games. Football games and soccer matches take place
in rented facilities off campus. This makes it more challenging
to recruit and retain players and also means that weekend
competitions that add to the student experience are not part
of Avila campus life. Avila's athletic coaches and staff provide
excellent leadership for our sports teams, and there is great
potential for building upon these already outstanding programs.
Added amenities include artificial turf; new football, softball,
and baseball scoreboards; a new press box; bleachers and beautiful landscaping allowing student seating on the hillside. This will not only enhance our athletics programs, but also will allow Avila University to open up the athletic fields for student recreational use and welcome youth organizations from the community.
