Avila University Men's and Women's soccer teams will begin their annual spring Raffle fundraiser to benefit the soccer program.

The goal of Avila soccer is to assist the Athletic Department in making the facilities and equipment used by Avila soccer athletes, second to none and to start raising money for a spring Mission Trip to Costa Rica in 2011.

Essential to that endeavor is the primary fundraiser of the soccer team: The Avila Soccer Annual Spring Raffle. Team members will be selling the Raffle tickets around town, in your neighborhood, and at school. Also, those wishing to support Avila Soccer can stop by the soccer office to buy a Raffle ticket or call Coach Clements at 816-501-2475 for more information.  

Details of how the Raffle works are as follows: Raffle ticket sales are limited to 500 total tickets sold and a guaranteed $2,500 in total prize money will be awarded to buyers. The cost of each Raffle ticket is $25 and each ticket has 10 opportunities to win. Prizes will be: One 1st prize of $1250, one 2nd prize of $500, two 3rd prizes of $250, and five prizes of $100. Winning tickets will be drawn on April 18 th , 2009 at the Spring Alumni Games. Participants do not have to be present to win; checks will be mailed to winners within 7 days of the drawing.

All proceeds will benefit Avila soccer and the players directly. Remember the more tickets you buy, the greater the chance you have to win. This Raffle is open to all family, friends, and supporters of Avila soccer. Sorry, current team members and coaches are not allowed to enter.
