Convenient Format
Classes are offered in 5 and 8 week sessions that meet one evening per week from 6-10 pm, on weekends or online.

Flexibility
You can sign up for as many or as few classes as you like. Classes are offered year-round and you can go at your own pace.

All aspects of the program can be handled in one convenient location. Advising, registration, tuition payment, and classrooms are all in one location.

Faculty with Professional Experience
Our faculty members work in the field they teach. They have practical, real-world experience. All faculty members are highly credentialed with at least a Master's degree.

Outcomes-based Learning
Each textbook comes with an extended syllabus called a "module." It maps out assignments, activities, expected learning outcomes, and grading policies for each course so you will know in advance what to expect for each course. Each one of these modules is available online.

Facilitation vs. Lecture
We hire faculty based on their ability to facilitate rather than lecture. Each faculty member must attend an assessment where they are interviewed, able to present knowledge in an interesting and meaningful way, participate in a leaderless group activity, and more in order to prove their competency to teach at Avila University.
