The P&L District creates a vibrant, new eight-block neighborhood in downtown Kansas City that links together the Kansas City Convention Center to the west and the new Sprint Center to the east.The entertainment and nightlife district opened with 14 tenants in early spring. More stores and restaurants will continue to open through the coming months.

Kansas City's new home for major concerts, sporting events and family shows, Sprint Center is the cornerstone in the revitalization of downtown Kansas City that in addition to the arena will feature condominiums, restaurants, themed bars, movie and live entertainment theaters and mixed retail.

This fully restored 1914 landmark is Kansas City's most prominent destination for entertainment and cultural activities. The Station is home to a permanent rail exhibit with vintage rail cars, an interactive science center where you can experience a NASA-style simulator or ride a bicycle over a high-wire 30 feet in the air and so much more, a vibrant Theater District featuring giant-screen movies and live theater, fine restaurants, unique shops, spaces for meetings and events and much more. Of course, you can still catch the train at Union Station, once again among Amtrak's busiest stops.

Kansas Speedway hosts NASCAR’s premier series, the NEXTEL Cup Series. It also brings the superstars of the Indy Racing League’s IndyCar Series, the NASCAR Busch and Craftsman Truck Series and ARCA’s RE/MAX Series to Kansas City, Kan., for an exciting season of heart-pounding motorsports action.
Besides the racing, other weekend track events include high-speed driving schools where race fans can learn what it’s like to be Richard Petty or Mario Andretti.
